Human rights, environmental regulations, and compliance - Supply Chain Compliance

.

Implement the requirements of supply chain laws, the EU taxonomy, and related ESG requirements with us.

The Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG) obliges domestic companies with more than 3,000 employees to comply with human rights and environmental due diligence obligations since January 1, 2023. Starting January 1, 2024, this obligation will also apply to companies with more than 1,000 employees. The law affects not only large companies directly but also their suppliers, who must also adhere to the due diligence obligations.

The LkSG requires compliance with human rights and environmental due diligence obligations from companies. It imposes strict requirements on their decisions, such as the selection of contractual partners and investments. These requirements apply not only to directly affected companies but also to their suppliers. Compliance with the law can influence the business models of all participants in the supply chain but also offers opportunities.

Suppliers, small companies and corporations

We advise both companies directly affected by the LkSG and suppliers who also face challenges associated with the LkSG. Our consulting team, consisting of attorneys Ralph Weiss and Susanne Janssen, is here to support you as a strong partner.

The LkSG requires adherence to human rights and environmental due diligence obligations and imposes high demands on corporate decisions, including the selection of contractual partners and investment decisions for all affected companies. These requirements apply not only to companies directly affected by the law but also to their suppliers, who are also encouraged to implement the statutory due diligence obligations. Compliance with the LkSG has implications for all parties involved in the supply chain, affecting their existing business models while also presenting opportunities.
