MKM LEGAL consists of three companies. The abbreviation MKM stands for the initial letters of the names of the founding partners of MKM + PARTNER Rechtsanwälte PartmbB, based in Berlin and Nuremberg. It was founded in November 2015.

Another part of the MKM LEGAL Group is MKM Datenschutz GmbH, which provides assistance with challenges relating to data protection.

As an ideal complement to the two consulting firms, MKM Compliance GmbH was founded in 2021 in collaboration with software developers. It offers compliance tools that optimally support the consulting fields of the other two MKM companies.
