Carmela Caiazza

Carmela Caiazza is a lawyer and specialist lawyer for employment law at MKM + PARTNER. Her areas of focus are employment law and inheritance law.

She advises and represents employers and employees comprehensively on all employment law matters – from ongoing legal advice to the judicial enforcement and defence of claims, particularly in unfair dismissal proceedings. She also has extensive experience in collective employment law.

In inheritance law, she advises and represents clients in particular on drafting wills, the partition of estates held by communities of heirs, and the assertion and defence of compulsory share claims. She also regularly advises on matters relating to business succession. The knowledge she acquired through completing the specialist course for executors of wills offered by the German Association for Inheritance Law and Asset Succession (Deutsche Vereinigung für Erbrecht und Vermögensnachfolge e.V. – DVEV) complements her expertise in inheritance law.

Ms. Caiazza studied law at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. After completing her legal traineeship, including an elective placement at the Nuremberg Labour Court, she was admitted to the bar in 2012. From February 2012 to August 2024, she initially worked at a medium-sized interdisciplinary law firm in Nuremberg, where her practice focused on employment law, inheritance law and tax law, including criminal tax law.

In 2017, Ms. Caiazza was awarded the title of specialist lawyer for employment law ("Fachanwältin für Arbeitsrecht"). She also successfully completed the theoretical part of the specialist lawyer training courses in inheritance law and tax law.

Since September 2024, Ms. Caiazza has been practising at MKM + PARTNER in Nuremberg.
