Burkhard Krecichwost is a Founding Partner of MKM + PARTNER and advises clients throughout Germany on matters of commercial and business law. A particular focus of his practice is the drafting and negotiation of domestic and international supply and service agreements. In addition to contract law, particularly the specific requirements of plant engineering and construction, his practice areas include advising and representing clients in construction and architects' law, public procurement law, commercial tenancy law, as well as insolvency-related creditor advice and corporate restructuring.
After studying law and completing additional training in business administration, Burkhard Krecichwost began his career as a lawyer at an interdisciplinary, internationally active law firm comprising auditors, tax advisors and lawyers. Since then, he has provided legal advice to prominent German and international clients from the industrial and commercial sectors. For several listed corporate groups, he developed the contractual framework for their group-wide, cross-border cash pooling arrangements.
In 2003, Burkhard Krecichwost successfully completed the written examinations for the specialist lawyer qualification in insolvency law ("Fachanwalt für Insolvenzrecht"). Since then, he has been particularly active in corporate restructuring and turnaround matters, with extensive experience in the automotive, furniture and DIY retail sectors. From March 2008 until the establishment of MKM+PARTNER Rechtsanwälte PartmbB, he was managing partner of a medium-sized, nationally active law firm partnership. In 2015, he obtained the specialist lawyer qualification in construction and architects' law ("Fachanwalt für Bau- und Architektenrecht"), further strengthening his expertise in advising construction companies and engineers on the drafting of complex development and supply agreements.
